This is a 1970 Ford 4000, Serial No. 286021. It came to us from a couple in the Preston, New York area. They had bought the tractor brand new and they have fabricated a homemade canopy. The tractor was originally used to chop corn, and they wanted the tractor restored to it’s original condition. The tractor is now used to rake and seed hay on a working dairy farm.
We repaired the fuel leaks, and the charging system and we performed a complete service. A new brake latch support was fabricated.
Finally, it was painted Ford Blue and Grey, and finished with a coat of protective gloss.”
